Homelessness Week 2024

August 5-11th

In Australia there are almost 123,000 people experiencing homelessness on any given night. Homelessness Week aims to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness, the solutions needed to end homelessness and to educate communities on how they can make a difference. During the week homelessness services and community groups educate the community and advocate for change via national and local community events, media and social media activities.

Homelessness Week 2024 will take place from Monday 5th to Sunday 11th August.

The National Homelessness Week theme for 2024 will be announced soon.

You can find out more at the Homelessness Australia website where you can download resources and find out how to get involved.

In Victoria, the Victorian Homelessness Network are running a Houses at Parliament Event. We're asking everyone to help us fold 60,000 origami houses and display them up to and during Homelessness Week. (Homelessness Services will be displaying 6,000 origami houses on the steps of Victorian Parliament on 31st July to represent 10% of the total number of social housing needed in Victoria right now!)
